Alabama lawmakers send new abortion restriction bills to governor

Measures to increase the forced waiting period before a woman can access abortion care and restrict access for minors are headed to the governor's desk, but an extreme measure that would ban abortion care after six weeks is stalled in the legislature.

Anti-Choice Politicians in Alabama Push for Near-Total Abortion Ban

The Alabama legislature is debating four extreme anti-choice bills. One could outlaw abortion before many women know they're pregnant and another would increase the mandatory waiting period before a woman can access abortion care.
